• Inform these groups of the new and ongoing projects at CHEK-D, providing continuing education about the positive impact of current healthcare evaluation research

• Create a summer intensive research training program, supplemental scholarships and traineeships for New Mexican students
• Obtain NIH-funded training grants for UNM HSC fellows
• Grow and maintain faculty at UNM HSC to connect with new and incoming trainees
• Connect current faculty with incoming trainees who share common experiences
• Maintain strong support from leadership and appointment committees, network with universities, community colleges, and other educational institutions throughout New Mexico. Engage in transparent hiring and promotion practices, enhance efforts in faculty recruitment and retention, and demonstrate a climate of professionalism and respect
